The Riuet Park, ancient bed of the river La Noguera Pallaresa, now turned into a green area, is the favourite place for the little ones where to play freely, with no dangers; also, the emblematic long slide, more than half a century old, is a most enjoyable ride together with other more recent swings and playground activities.

Older children also have different options for sports and cultural tourism:

Kayaking. The sports association AE Pallars organises introductory and advanced kayaking courses, for children as well as adults.

Even a child only aged 8 can see how easy and safe is to paddle down a low difficulty section of the river La Noguera Pallaresa, as they will have seen on TV, on previous lessons given by the best professionals, who will also supervise their water activities.
Sports Stages. The Sports Hall of Sort organizes sports stages during the months of July and August, in the mornings, for boys and girls between 10 and 14 years of age. Young people who wish to enjoy sports in general, with a very important part devoted to outdoor sports, making the best of the resources in our territory.

Adventure Sports and Horse Riding. Some of the active tourism companies offer the possibility of enjoying the different activities with the family, such as 4-wheel drive excursions around Alt Pirineu Natural Park, horse riding outings, family rafting, quad bike itineraries ...

Museums such as the one about shepherds in the Valley of Àssua at the office of the National Park, in Llessui and the Butterfly Museum of Catalonia, in the village of Pujalt, will become a most pleasant time for discovery with the family while learning a bit about the fauna and traditions around us. Together with the Museum-prison “The Trail of Freedom”, these are some of the educational proposals for school groups.

Storybooks in pallarès: Un dia amb l’Àssua, Cantallops, Lo padrí James, camí de la llibertat…These are books telling different stories: life in a high mountain village, tales by the light of the fire… The same as grown-ups, the little ones may enjoy reading a book and visiting the places that have been the inspiration for the story!

Other activities: visit the farms, the artisan dairies where cheese is made, go hiking around Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park and Alt Pirineu Natural Park, search for gold in the river La Noguera Pallaresa….
