The welcoming churches in villages still hold religious services on a more occasional basis.
On 1 August, it is the day of our Patron Saint, Sant Feliu.
On Palm Sunday, during the Easter week, and on Christmas, the Christmas Eve’s Mass, are still some of the most popular and well-attended religious manifestations in the parish of Sort.
The aplecs, popular gatherings at a hermitage are also very busy with people. There are about twenty aplecs held each year in El Pallars Sobirà, and more than half of them are taking place during the month of May, when spring is truly felt all over the place. In such gatherings, apart from attending the mass, there is usually a popular meal outdoors. Those most well attended by the people of Sort are in Arboló, first Sunday in May, and in Solé, May 1. |
