Our territory is full of never ending paths and trails, logging tracks and foresting roads linking all the villages around us.
A good way to discover them is on a 4-wheel drive vehicle, suitable for all terrains. However, knowing the area in advance is vital and crucial , as well as getting the right information about what tracks or roads are accessible.
These are the high mountain routes we recommend:
Llessui-Espot
Starting Point: follow the road from Sort until we get to the village of Llessui. Start the route following the forest ride off the car park in the old ski resort by the bridge crossing the river Pamano. Drive up until getting to the slope of Montsent de Pallars, about 2.000m high, and from now on, the forest ride will be bordering the mountain, past El clot de Mainera, Entremons and el Montorroio (pyramidal shape).
Further on and from the pass of La Creu d’Eixols, we will be able to see the ski resort in Espot.
Then, we may drive down to Espot.
Technical Features:
Kilometres: 40 Km.
Duration: 2h. Approx.
Slope: 995m on the way up and 1.130m on the way down
Difficulty: reasonable
Best time of the year to carry this route out, only in summer; due to its height, there are snow firns on the shady curves, with no sun during the whole winter season.
Llessui-Espui (Vall Fosca)
We get to Llessui from Sort. The route begins as the previous one: it starts at the car park in the old ski resort and climbs up to the slopes of El Montsent. Once there, there will be a sign showing the way. We must turn left at El Coll del Triador (amazing views). There starts the descent to get to Espuí.
