Natural Path of Les Vernedes de Sort.
It is an easy circular route, for everybody, travelling through Les Vernedes de Sort, an old farming plain -today turned into a part of fast-growing tree plantations (black poplars)- and also the site of different service and tourist resources companies, such as adventure sports enterprises and the cheese dairy named Tros de Sort. A very pleasant ramble going at first through the old bridle path linking Sort with the villages of the Valley of Siarb, and then going back along the left bank of the river La Noguera Pallaresa. Once past the facilities of the adventure sports company called Turisnat Pirineus, we take the road on the left; later it will become a path taking us to the river of El Cantó. Without crossing the river, we go on walking along the right bank until we come across a natural path that follows the river La Noguera Pallaresa and we will continue on that path until we are back in Sort. Along this route there is the alder grove (verneda) in Montardit, located on the other bank of the river and which is part of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park. Sort is one of the 3 destinations in the High Pyrenees awarded with the tourist and sports destination label of Catalonia. There, we may visit Hug Roger III i la fi de la Cataluya comtal " (Rebellious Mountains… Hug Roger III and the end of Catalan Countship); The Museum-prison “The Trail of Freedom”; the Castle of the Counts of Pallars; the church of Sant Feliu; the old Lime Kilns; the monument to General Moragues; the White water Stadium L’Aigüerola, venue of 2 kayaking world championships; the Riuet Park, old riverbed turned into a green area …

Route from Sant Antoni de Rialp.
Another pleasant ramble goes along the left bank of the river Sant Antoni to the municipal hydroelectric power station of Rialp. There, we may see small patches of river bank forests and the birds which are characteristically found in such an ecosystem, such as the blue tit, the robin redbreast, the white wagtail and the marsh tit. From the power station we go back to Rialp along the old footpath leading to the Mola de Sall. In Rialp, we can visit the medieval enclosed part of the village, today it still has the Gothic arcade of the portal of Sant Antoni and one of the defence towers named d’en Virós, at present turned into a house. The village has its origins in the castle, founded on a hill above the urban nucleus, from where the access to the Valley of Àssua and the Valleys of Alt Pallars can be under control. A few years ago, Rialp was a village of artisan men and women (people from guilds): chair makers, tailors, tinsmith, musicians, barkers, carpenters,...

Route of Pamano-Llessui
This is a circuit to discover the magnificent landscapes of the Valley of Àssua. From Llessui (the fictional village of Torena in the novel “Voices of Pamano”) we ride towards the car park of the old ski resort, where there is a logging track towards Espot, crossing the river, which gives name to the worldly acclaimed novel “Voices of Pamano”, turned into a TV series. Along the sides of the mountain of el Montsent, we ride across the high mountain pastures where cattle, sheep and horses graze during the summer. Once past the mountain pass of el Triadó, the track follows the limit of the peripheral area of the Aigüestortes and estany de Sant Maurici National Park. From that point, the track is going down the plains and the views are breathtaking. Once we reach the area of Collet, where we will find the triador de Llessui, a place where the sheep were chosen; we turn to the right along the track back to Llessui. A part of the route goes along the MTB Trans Pyrenean route and with Pedals de Foc.

From the hermitage, we continue along the bridle path towards Gerri de la Sal. Once in Gerri, we ride the trail along the plant nursery, today devoted to the growth of native varieties of vegetables and fruit trees from El Pallars, and Pre Pyrenean ecosystems. Just above the nursery, there is a logging track towards the northern part, which leads us to the village of Arcalís, riding next to the remains of its ancient castle. From Arcalís, we ride down to the bank of La Noguera Pallaresa to follow the way back to the bridge of Arboló along the old bridle path.

Route around Pic de l’Orri-Vilamur
This is the longest route from the MTB centre. Its nearly 44 km will take us around the massif of L’Orri, riding through forests inhabited by the capercaillie, the Pyrenean owl and the woodcock, part of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, the most extensive one in Catalonia. From Vilamur we take the N-260 road until we find, on the left, a logging track that takes us deep inside the Natural Park. A few metres away, we can see the bunkers, trenches and shooting wells from the Franco detachments sent to the front in El Pallars during the Spanish Civil War, now part of the network of Espais de memòria of Catalonia. Following the signs, we ride through the forest of Costa Negra and the forest of Tres Comuns, to continue up to the ski resort of Portainé. We leave the ski resort behind and continue towards the east, to El Serrat Gros, the Forest of Duc and the mountain pass of La Culla. From there, we take a track leading to the refuge of Les Comes de Rubió, offering services of bar and canteen. From the refuge, we take the ride of La Forestal, which initially is a logging track but in La Basseta turns into a path. Its enclosed village is worth a visit, where there is still a arcaded street, under a porch. In the Main Square there is the church of Mare de Déu de la Medina, dating from the 12th century, with its eightsquared belfry. In Vilamur it is also remarkable the red coloured stones, which have been used for building the houses.
